The promo consists of dark, murky images in which you can see a well-built Ali Zafar getting into a crouching position in the dark with only hints of light highlighting his muscles while short clips from his upcoming film, Teray Bin Laden, a clip of screaming female fans from his recent concert at Kinnaird College (Lahore) and a BBC broadcast in which the newscaster announces his absolute sexiness: “One of Pakistan’s most famous music stars… Asia’s 10 sexiest men.”
The tagline for the documentary says that it’s about the “life of Ali Zafar and his struggle to fame.” Yes, the word ‘struggle’ is definitely what comes to mind when one thinks of Ali Zafar. But on a serious note, being famous and a much-desired edible delicacy by thousands of female fans all over Pakistan is probably not easy.
“All the darkest, deepest secrets…” continues Ali’s voice, sounding sinister. “You want to see beneath the surface.” Yes. Don’t we all?
