After break-up, Lindsay Lohan harming herself?
January 28, 2009
Actress Lindsay Lohan has lost an astonishing amount of weight in just a short while after her break-up with girlfriend
Mirror.co.uk reports that Lohan has been spotted with mysterious scratch marks all over her arm.
A friend said: “The marks looked really red and sore.
She tried to hide them under a long-sleeved shirt but when she lifted up her arm to show someone a picture on her mobile phone you could see the lines on her arm.”
Lohan has remained under cover for a while.
I was physically abused: Neetu Chandra
January 28, 2009
By Subhash K. Jha
“What does it take for a woman in the film industry to work with her dignity intact?” asks the anguished actress Neetu Chandra who last month was allegedly, brutally abused and manhandled by Telugu director Rajshekhar and his producer-wife Jivitha Rajshekhar.
And now Neetu has hired the services of a Mumbai lawyer Jamshed Mistry to fight for what she thinks is her right to work with dignity. She has sent strongly-worded letters of complaint to Women’s Rights and Human Rights commission and is all set to meet the Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad to apprise him of this situation and of her further, legal, actions.
Neetu says she’s suing the director and his wife for “Threatening to kill…mental torture, physically (sic) hitting and abusing, defamation, harming my work…”
According to Neetu, while working for a Telugu film Satyamev Jayate, the lead Rajshekhar and his director-wife Jivitha tortured and threatened Neetu, physically abused her and insulted her in front of the unit, made her work for inhuman (15-20 hours) per day and forced her to shoot when she could hardly stand.
Things came to a sordid head on December 22. “My left eye turned blood red because of lack of sleep, stress and strain, and I contacted the director informing her about this.
Jivitha herself gave me a doctor’s number in Hyderabad. We were shooting in Ramoji Rao Film City, which is 90 minutes drive from Hyderabad. I tried dragging myself to the shoot as much as I could and the call time still remained early.
We shot till 2:30 at night again with that infected eye and by this time I was down with fever too. Before the pack up when I asked my director Mrs. Jivitha Rajshekhar about the next day’s schedule, she said, 9:00 A.M. sharp.”
However, Neetu was in no condition to shoot the next morning.
“Four days of round-the-clock shooting had completely exhausted me, working for 18-20 hours a day was inhuman and my body could not take it any further because of the infection in my left eye, and I was also suffering from fever.
I was shivering and literally shaking. I kept on dragging myself for my shots, so as to not cause any further delay, as it was also the last day of my schedule.
I reached the sets on December 23rd morning at 9:00 A.M., but the shoot started again after 2-3 hours. By 7:00 P.M. I informed the director Jivitha that I was sinking and I could not drag myself further.”
Neetu suggested the unit use a body double.
“It has been used for almost every other actor in this film in the past but never for me because I was always there… Mr. Rajshekhar gave me a few drops of some medicine as he’s a naturopath but there was no improvement in my condition. However, every time I told her this, the director Jivitha said we will finish it soon. ”
The situation snowballed at 12:30 A.M. “My body just gave up and I could not stand. I had two Crocins and my assistant Shravan kept me covered with a shawl.
I tried my level best to stand up for couple of hours. Mr. Rajshekhar, as usual kept on joking around with other co-actors, taking his sweet time in his make-up and hair setup.
I remember while I could hardly stand and still was trying my best, Mr. Raj Shekhar took 10-15 shots for one dialogue. And with every shot, he use to spend at least 5-10 minutes, instead of learning the dialogues well in advance.
He was the only one who completely neglected me whereas, other co-stars of mine including Shivaji, Shiva Reddy and Sherryl Pinto and the whole unit, kept on insisting I rest. I kept on telling my director that I was sinking. After telling her repeatedly no one listened to me, I had no option but to rush to my room… I felt that I was about to faint.”
That’s when the physical abuse started. “The moment I reached my room, instead of calling me on phone, at-least 7-10 men with Rajshekhar and his wife Jivitha barged into my room, hitting my assistants and threatening me and screaming at me.
He said, ‘Who do you think you are?’ And Mrs. Jivitha threatened, ‘We will make you stand. How dare you?’ When I protested Rajshekhar threatened, ‘Don’t argue and you better stand before I change from a man into something else.’
I was highly unwell, scared by seeing so many people pushing my assistant and threatening me and my staff and Mr. Rajshekhar screaming at the top of his voice which was uncalled for.”
That’s when the Rajshekhar got really violent with Neetu. “As I started moving out of my bed, Raj Shekhar HIT ME FROM BEHIND. Rajshekhar said, ‘You better start moving fast.’ He hit me from my room till the lift on the floor, and he kept on threatening to kill me.
Raj Shekhar said, ‘I will kill you. You don’t know me. What can you do?’When I reached the hotel portico down, I was physically hit and abused in front of the hotel staff, guard and all the others standing there. My body had completely given up.
All these people were standing in the corner waiting for my car. When the car arrived, Rajshekhar again pushed and threatened me and said, ‘you don’t know what I can do to you.’
I sat in the car and reached the set. I somehow finished the shoot and he kept on screaming and insulting me on the sets in front of the whole unit. The moment I finished, it was around 2:30 A.M., one of the assistant directors came to say that I was done. I quietly got up and left for the hotel.”
Neetu was petrified. “All my staff from Mumbai who came with me were so scared knowing that Rajshekhar carries a gun and that he is a local from Hyderabad and we don’t know anyone there.
We escaped at around 2:45 A.M. from my hotel. My flight was at 9:00 in the morning and we had to wait for 5 hours at the airport. But we felt safer and secure there.
I took a 9:00 A.M. flight and reached my parents and after that I was under treatment for a week. I was in a state of shock. My mind completely stopped working and now that I feel little better I would like to file a case against both Mr. Rajshekhar and his wife Mrs. Jeevitha Rajshekhar.”
Ends Neetu, “I’ve worked with the biggest of filmmakers Priyadarshan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Dibakar Banerjee, Rahul Dholakia, Raj Kanwar and Vipul Shah. They’ve all treated with great dignity. This incident has scared the hell out of me. Would Mr. Rajshekhar and his wife dare to behave this way with a male actor?”
Raaz Ki Baat: Coming soon, Raaz 3
January 28, 2009
By Subhash K Jha
Sequels and their sequels are here to stay. First Munnabhai and Golmaal, now there’s Raaz which threatens to turn into a Raaz-ma-taz, what with the second part of the Bhatt’s spook saga getting an unexpectedly solid opening.
Emran Hashmi who has been lying low during the publicity, thanks to all the focus on the real-life Kangana-Adhyayan pair, says he feels vindicated by the audiences’ response. “My wife kept telling me I should try the genre. I had never done horror before.
It’s believed in the trade that horror films open well and then soon fizzle out. But then it was also believed that a film looking at the seamier side of cricket (Jannat) would never do well. I like to walk the lonely path. That’s why you don’t see me at parties and functions.
Maybe that’s why I play the part of the loner and watch another guy take away the girl I love,” Emran chuckles drawing attention to his loser-lover’s role in Gangster, Awaarapan and now Raaz.
And now Emran is all set to return to Raaz. After the encouraging opening the team of Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt, director Mohit Suri and Emran met to discuss the third Raaz movie.
“Yes we’re on,” says Emran. “The third part will be directed by Mohit. And I’ll play the lead. The rest of the details are yet to be decided. The cast of the second Raaz film was totally new. And I think I’m going to be the only actor common to Raaz 2 and 3.”
He says he didn’t feel left out of the publicity. “Kangana and Adhyayan were a real-life couple. I can’t concoct an affair just to be noticed. I was confident my work would speak for itself. Sure enough I believe people clap when I on screen the first time. I do have fan base, though it might be small.”
With two successes Jannat and Raaz 2 Emran feels secure enough to start a family. “We’re trying for a baby and we should be parents by next year. One is never prepared for fatherhood. And if I wait to be fully prepared it will never happen. But I’m getting into the mindset now.”
I am a serious and shy girl: Paris Hilton
January 28, 2009
Socialite heiress Paris Hilton, who is sometimes perceived as a bimbo, insists that she is a very serious and shy girl.
“Many people think that I am a spoilt airhead. But I am a lot more serious and shy,” dailymail.co.uk quoted Hilton as saying.
Hilton, who split with her boyfriend Benji Madden last year, said she does not want to move into any other relationship now and doesn’t even talk to men.
“I am a very old fashioned girl and I make men take me out for a million dates before they get a kiss. People are surprised because they think I have been through so many men, but it is not true. I do not really talk to guys,” she said.
“I am not ready to move into another relationship. I think it will be good for me to be alone and find out who I am. One day I will find someone, but for now I do not want to be with anyone,” she
I used to kiss Tom Cruise in poster: Eesha Koppikhar
January 28, 2009
By FHM India
From item girl to vamp to girl next door. Eesha Koppikar has lived up to every guy’s fantasy by excelling in each of these roles. She has charmed her way into our hearts with her drop dead gorgeous looks and her sizzling performances. Read on as Eesha shares sweet little nothings even as she makes a devastating disclosure in the men’s magazine FHM.
Eesha Koppikhar breezes into my studio an hour late, walking on those long, shapely legs and apologizes demurely. Awww! That million-dollar smile she flashes at me! I have forgiven her already.
As she puts her makeup on, we get to reminiscing the last time she sipped that extra-strong tea from my flask. ‘Yeesh! Don’t even remind me. I don’t have the stomach for your chai!’ I look at her flatter-than-ironing-board stomach and wonder what it takes to get a new-age body like hers. ‘Yoga,’ she squeals with delight. ‘And salads and meditation.
You can’t go wrong with good old Indian values.’ Well, to be honest, my good-old-Indian-values fast evaporate as Eesha effortlessly cavorts and romances the camera. And while my camera whirrs and purrs, I can’t help but think…Eesha’s made for the arc lights.
We heard you are just back from a trip. Was it work or pleasure?
I had been to Bali to attend a friend’s wedding. Bali was beautiful. So was the wedding. It was a nice break from work and I think I deserved the holiday.
Are you happy with your journey in Bollywood so far?
I started out with small-deglamourised roles down South and then turned to my glamorous avatar in Bollywood to now doing lead roles as the lead actress.
It has been an interesting journey and a great learning experience. I have always had belief in my abilities and talent. The perseverance and hard work seem to have paid off.
Did being stereotyped as an item girl affect your career?
There is a lot of stereotyping in the film industry. People like to label you like boxes of cereal.
We know that in real life you are truly a fun person. Were Kya Kool Hain Hum and Salaam e Ishq easier to work on given your penchant for comedy?
I am a natural with comedy… I really enjoy comic roles. It was a wonderful experience working in Kya Kool…and in Salaam-e-Ishq.
You are one of the most chilled out girls in the industry. What makes Eesha so cool?
I believe in live and let live. I am not judgmental and I believe in the goodness of the human heart. Maybe this thinking makes me cool…I dunno!
Loved your work in Don. You looked stunning as well. How did Don happen?
Initially Farhan Akhtar had wanted me to work in Dil Chahta Hai. But due to some reason, I was unable to do that film. We decided that we’d work sometime again and that’s how I was offered Don and I accepted.
How was the experience working with Shah Rukh Khan?
Shah Rukh’s energy levels are infectious. His professionalism is something to be admired. His humility is something to be imbibed. I think he always succeeds in motivating his co-stars and heroines.
Are you part of Farhan’s planned sequel to Don?
Not aware of any sequel.
Who is the hottest guy in Bollywood today?
Amitabh Bachchan. Purely for the fact that he started off from such a humble background. It was his sheer hard work and attitude, professionalism and devotion that propelled him into becoming a legend. I believe that he’s also a very doting and loving father. Aamir Khan too…because I simply love his diligent work ethics. He is one of the brilliant actors of our times.
Would you consider settling down with someone from the film industry?
No. I wouldn’t. Because I’ve already found someone who is not from the industry. (laughs)
Describe Eesha’s ideal guy?
Someone open, with whom I can share my weakness and have no fear of being let down! Also someone who shares the same interests as mine. But like I said, I have found my ideal guy.
So what makes your relationship with Timmy tick?
The fact that we are sensitive to each other and we share similar interests. We understand each other completely. Though we are from different backgrounds, we are willing to understand each other and be there for each other. It’s the simplicity that makes it work.
The one way to get your attention?
Be genuine. That’s the only way to get my attention.
What turns you off?
Fake and judgmental people! And everything that comes along with it.
Conversation or action? What does Eesha prefer?
Actions speak louder than words. Words are easily spoken but it’s only in one’s actions that one can feel the depth and sincerity of words spoken.
What was your first crush?
When I was in school, I had the biggest crush on Tom Cruise.
First kiss?
I would kiss his poster. Ha ! Ha!
The naughtiest thing you have ever done?
It was when I was in school. It was my friend’s birthday! My friends and me packed a huge cockroach in a small cardboard box that was inside a bigger cardboard box which was in turn, in another bigger cardboard box… and we packed it beautifully with ribbons and stuff. Poor girl. When she opened it, she fainted.
You used to play basketball? Do you still follow sports?
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to follow up on any sport due to my hectic work. But I still love basketball.
Watched any good movies lately?
Quantum of Solace. Though Sean Connery has been my favorite Bond for all times.
Mantra for Success
Success is the result of steadily taking action on our most important goals. Discipline is to stay focused on what really matters and be careful about not letting other less important issues or concerns get in the way. Gratitude. The only people to get even with are the ones who helped us.
It sums up to what I think is gratitude. Regret. We are all humans and we all make mistakes that we regret. And to regret the past is to forfeit the future. We have to move on and we can’t keep dwelling in the past. What makes Eesha tick?
Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. Love.

Kim Kardashian exclusive interview (Cover Girl)
January 23, 2009
Socialite KIM KARDASHIAN has never been in a movie, but it hasn’t stopped her from being the hottest woman in Hollywood.
By Nate Denver
Photographs by Frederic Reshew

Kim Kardashian
WORD to Grand Puba, is a real gold winner, just like Bruce Jenner – and not just because the OLYMPIC LEGEND happens to be her stepfather. Despite what people may assume of PARIS HILTON’S childhood B.F.F., PRINCESS KIM (as she likes to call herself) is no trust-fund hussy. Sure, she’s the daughter of late music mogul/O.J. SIMPSON lawyer Robert Kardashian, but she’s also incorporated like Irv and Jeffrey. Kim owns a high-end L.A. boutique, Dash, reorganizes closets professionally (SHE’S DOING LINDSAY’s next week!), styles celebs, and slangs closet accessories on infomercials. BEAUTIFUL AND AMBITIOUS, the divorced 26-year-old (music producer Damon Thomas…sucker) caught Complex’s eye as the WAY HOTTER friend of (insert A-list Hollywood chick here) in tabloid photos. Here, for the first time, the new “it” girl BARES ALL.
SO WHY EXACTLY ARE YOU DOING THIS PHOTO SHOOT?
Kim Kardashian: All my friends have photo shoots and have fun doing it, so why not?
WHICH FRIENDS?
Kim Kardashian: From Jillian Barberie, who’s one of our best family friends, to Paris, to Nicole—all the girls. This is what they do. And growing up with them forever, it’s just fun.
WHAT’S THE BIGGEST MISCONCEPTION ABOUT YOUR SOCIALITE CREW?
Kim Kardashian: That we’re all trust-fund kids and we have it so easy. If anything, I find it the complete opposite. I know people think we drive around in these nice cars and we do whatever we want and our parents will pay our credit cards, but that’s not the case. Sure, my parents were generous; I got a nice car at 16, but at 18 I was cut off. I’ve worked really hard. I opened the store myself. Even Paris and Nicole—they’re completely independent, too.
THE ARGUMENT WOULD BE: YOU HAVE A HUGE SAFETY NET AND MEGA FINANCIAL BACKING TO START FROM.
Kim Kardashian: Well, I’m never gonna be on the streets, so there is that comfort there. I get how people would feel like that’s not fair, but that’s my last resort.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN?
Kim Kardashian: Lately, I go to parties and hang out. But I love to go skydiving, I love skiing. I’m a really outdoorsy sports person. I love to go on trips. I remember, I used to tell one of my really good friends, Brandy—the singer Brandy—you know she has every purse and shoe and every outfit. I’d be like, “Let’s not buy a $5,000 bag for once and let’s go on vacation.”

Kim Kardshian
DO YOU SEE FUNNY THINGS AT THE PARTIES?
Kim Kardashian: The other night Paris went to Area, and next to us was Britney’s table and I was walking around and I saw Justin and I was like, “Ah! We have to wait and see if there’s a dance-off!” I wanted to go home, but I’m not gonna lie, I stayed a little bit longer. There wasn’t a dance-off.
DID YOU AND THE GAME EVER ACTUALLY DATE?
Kim Kardashian: Game and I have been friends for years. He came to Paris’s album release party and we all took a picture together—me, Paris, and him—and yet he and I are “dating.” It’s crazy that if you take a picture with someone, automatically people think you’ve slept with them.
WHAT ABOUT NICK CANNON?
Kim Kardashian: Hmm. I’m gonna have to get back to you on that one. Me and Paris and the girls are trying to stay single for one year. In March, that’ll be up. I’m a relationship kind of girl, but I think that everyone needs a year in their life to be single. I was in a long relationship before I was married, then I was married for four years, and then I was in a relationship with Ray J, Brandy’s brother. I’ve never been single, and this is my year. It’s hard when you meet really cool, talented, amazing, fun people like Nick.
WHAT DOES STAYING SINGLE MEAN?
Kim Kardashian: Just not having to answer to anyone but yourself. Trying to do you.
DOES THAT MEAN YOU HAVE TO PUT LIMITS ON PHYSICAL INTIMACY TOO?
Kim Kardashian: I have to be in a relationship in order to be intimate. I’m not the one-night-stand kind of girl. Despite the rumors.
THAT’S A GOOD WAY TO BE. LET ME CONTINUE DOWN THE LIST. WHAT WAS UP WITH YOU AND NICK LACHEY?
Kim Kardashian: We went out on a few dates, and it didn’t really progress. He’s a great guy, but we never took it to that level. I was just in Australia with Paris and I was looking at a newspaper and there was a big picture of me and Paris on the cover. It said that I have a sex scandal going on and that I’ve dated a few U.S. rappers. I’m like, If you call Ray J and Nick Cannon rappers, then…. I was married for four years, had a three-year relationship with Ray, and have been with one person after that. It really bothers me that people perceive me this one way.
SPEAKING OF RAY J, WHAT’S UP WITH THE SEX TAPE RUMORS?
Kim Kardashian: There is no sex tape! Ray J’s not the kind of guy who would do something for revenge. There is no amount of money that could ever convince me to release any tape, even if I had one. I don’t need the money!
ARE SEX VIDEOS THE NEW STEPPING STONE?
Kim Kardashian: [Laughs.] I don’t know, that’s a weird thing. I’m not gonna lie—when someone has one out I go look it up on the Internet. Everyone does.
SO, HAVE YOU WATCHED PARIS’S INFAMOUS SEX TAPE?
Kim Kardashian: I never watched it.
OKAY, HERE COME THE SEX QUESTIONS. HOW WOULD YOU RATE YOURSELF IN BED?
Kim Kardashian: Twenty, on a scale of one to ten.
I APPRECIATE YOUR CONFIDENCE. WHAT MAKES YOU A TWENTY?
Kim Kardashian: I’m really passionate and sensitive. I don’t really have sex with people I don’t have a connection with, and if you have a connection with someone, it’s so much better.
ARE YOU DOMINANT OR SUBMISSIVE?
Kim Kardashian: More submissive.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE RECENT SURGE IN UP-THE-SKIRT SHOTS?
Kim Kardashian: I think that is so annoying. Paris has an SLR, you know, the Mercedes? The doors flip up like a Lamborghini. The seat is, like, lower, so in order to get out, you have to literally put your legs up and hop out. Those are the famous shots people have seen lately, getting out of that car. The paparazzi’s motives are so disgusting.
BUT AREN’T THEY GIVING THE PHOTOGRAPHERS WHAT THEY WANT?
Kim Kardashian: It’s all crazy. The other night we were all at Hyde. Paris walked me out to my car ’cause I wanted to go home and she was waiting for Britney. When she pulled up, all these cars came and parked backwards in the middle of Sunset. They just wanted their shots, they didn’t care who they blocked. They’ve taken it to a different level.
THE GIRLS OR THE PHOTOGRAPHERS?
Kim Kardashian: The photographers…I mean, if it were me, if they had those shots of me, I’d be mortified. But if it happens three times in a row—
PUT SOME UNDERWEAR ON!
Yeah. Then, that’s just weird.
ARE THERE DIFFERENT L.A.’S, DEPENDING ON YOUR STATUS AND WEALTH?
Kim Kardashian: We were talking about this last night. We call it Hollywood High. We were saying we’re the seniors and this newer group is the juniors.
WHAT’S YOUR ROLE AS A SENIOR?
Kim Kardashian: They try to make out like we’re mean girls. There was this ridiculous story that Paris is being a mean girl to Kim and they’re not friends anymore because she’s friends with Britney, which is so ridiculous. We were laughing at it last night.

Kim Kardashian
IS THERE HAZING?
Kim Kardashian: No, definitely not. You know, one of my best friends happens to be best friends with Lindsay Lohan, and if Paris and her are fighting and I was at a party [with one of them], it’s like, Oh, she’s stepping over! But it’s like, No! We’re all friends at the end of the day.
YEAH, WHAT IS UP WITH LINDSAY AND PARIS? ONE DAY THEY’RE FRIENDS, THE NEXT THERE ARE INTERNET VIDEOS OF THEM DISSING EACH OTHER.
Kim Kardashian: How can I explain it? They’ve been friends, they’ve known each other for a long time. Friends fight, they go through things, grow apart, and come back. Hollywood High, like I said.
DO YOU ENJOY THE DRAMA OF THE TABLOIDS?
Kim Kardashian: It’s upsetting if a friend gets hurt. This Paris and Britney thing sort of upset Paris because she’s the sweetest girl and just likes to help people.
WHY? BECAUSE SHE GOT A BAD REP?
Kim Kardashian: Yeah, just for partying…
BEING A BAD INFLUENCE ON BRITNEY?
Kim Kardashian: Yeah, and she’s not at all. They just make a big deal out of things that never even happened. Sometimes it’s irritating. But [we’re in the tabloids] so much that we don’t really get upset anymore. You just have to laugh it off. If you can’t make fun of yourself and laugh at yourself…
IT’S A HARD LIFE.
Kim Kardashian: Exactly. It’s a hard life.
